You may not remember this foot switch, although you may have spotted it on the foot of Flo's iconic 'Arco' designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni.

More some people are not even aware of it. This footswitch was designed by Achille Castiglioni: winner of nine Golden Compasses, Castiglioni was a fan of the switches he designed; they have set foot in the doors of many people's homes, a true example of industrial design, beauty and function, combined with many products produced at sustainable costs.

WARNING: The unipolar foot switch can be used for a new installation or to replace an old switch in an existing designer lamp, compatible with both 2- and 3-core Creative-Cables round and twisted textile cables.< /p>

The part looks exactly as advertised and was relatively quickly delivered. However, be aware that if you have a lamp with a "push button" - like I do - and not a "switch" then this replacement is not for you. I was after a button and not a switch, so the part to me is useless. Unfortunately, the button that broke seems to be not individually available. Otherwise a perfectly nice replica of a classic designer SWITCH.

Advantages: Great replacement for a classical switch.

Disadvantages: No push button option.
